I passed the Bavarian state examinations for translators in 1999 after finishing a 3-year translator's course for the English language, with special studies in economics and law at the Fachakademie für Fremdsprachenberufe, a technical college in Kempten, Germany.
In the year 2000, I was duly appointed, commissioned and sworn in the Federal State of Bavaria. Due to my appointment and swearing-in, I am authorized to do certified translations to be submitted to courts or public authorities, etc. After completing this qualification, I worked as a translator and executive assistant to a partner at an international law firm in Munich, Germany, for more than six years.
During this period of my career, I gained profound professional experience and insight into a variety of subjects, including mergers & acquisitions (M&A), private equity (PE), venture capital (VC), corporate, tax, succession and real estate law. My ongoing close cooperation with lawyers and continuing education ensure that I maintain a high degree of professional quality and up-to-date terminology.
I am a member of BDÜ (www.bdue.de), the German Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators. Only translators who meet high requirements and prove professional qualifications may join this professional association. This ensures a high level of professionalism.
